The Challenge
Successful companies need to keep renewing themselves to keep growing. As an organization reaches its maturity, it’s easy to become complacent and simply hit the “copy/paste” button over and over again. In our experience, this approach often leads to decline rather than progress.
The Manitoba Canola Growers Association understood that their work in market development and research was continually evolving. They were committed to making constant improvements and recognized the importance of finding effective ways to innovate and move forward faster. This drove them to seek out inVision Edge to achieve these goals in fresh and dynamic ways.

Manitoba Canola Growers Association is a non-profit organization that serves 7,500 canola farmers across Manitoba. Farmer-funded, the organization is committed to taking “Bold Action for Canola Farmers.”
How inVision Helped
To achieve their goal of a strong strategy they could rely on, MCGA participated in a strategy workshop with inVision. First, they worked to clarify their reason for existing and determining their desired future state. From there, they identified the forces impacting their community.
MCGA then took all of this information and identified three big goals, each with three step goals, to focus on over the next three years. Lastly, they identified and worked on eliminating any obstacles, and established a plan for execution with a rhythm of accountability.
The Result
MCGA has successfully completed the first year of their three year strategic plan, creating next level alignment within the team and between MCGA staff and the board. This magnitude of alignment has cut costs, saved time, and created unified messaging for MCGA. MCGA is now embodying their vision statement in all areas of their strategic initiatives, ensuring the organization stays true in all areas of the business.
