OUR TEAM
The Invision Edge Team
Meet the people helping organizations think big and act boldly.
Ryan Ramsdale
Director of Operations & Coach
Hometown: East Selkirk, Manitoba
I guess you could say I like variety. My journey began following my passion for the arts, studying Film at the University of Manitoba and Audio Production at Mid Ocean School of Media Arts. Since then, I have completed further executive education at Athabasca University, the University of Winnipeg, and Harvard Business School Online. Throughout my career, I’ve served in key roles for Shaw Communications and founded an executive coaching practice called Embolden.
I joined inVision Edge in 2019 as an Innovation and Strategy Coach. I work with clients daily to build innovation capabilities, navigate innovation projects, and build breakthrough strategic plans. Outside of work, I enjoy writing and playing music, in addition to seeking adventure with my wife Keri and our three kids.
Start with stimulus. It’s hard to solve a problem in a new way if you haven’t first filled your mind with new information, so try to get out of your usual context. Investigate how others have solved similar problems and challenge yourself to find a place to experiment with controlled impact.
love the variety in the opportunities and problems clients bring forward; no two problems are exactly the same. Seeing our clients leverage innovation skills and strategic thinking to set a course for the future and solve problems with a new approach is extremely rewarding work.
I’m Canada’s ambassador to Michael Keaton (unofficially). Ok, maybe just a huge fan.

I have a passion for helping teams reach new heights through planning and execution. With a focus on team alignment, I work with teams to ensure clarity of shared goals, communication, roles, and expectations. My curious nature leads me to ask tough questions that propel forward progress for the teams and the organizations I support.
I come to you with 10 years of experience in strategic initiatives with the Province of Manitoba, a master’s degree in human cognition, certifications in Working Genius, PROSCI Change Management, Innovation Engineering, Human Centered Design, and three years of experience leading strategic planning in the agriculture sector.
Don’t sit idle. Instead, start seeking advice from someone who knows more than you do about a topic or industry. Learning from those around you can be cheap, fast, and energizing. The beauty is that if they don’t have the answers for you, they’ll typically send you knocking on the next best door. Follow the trail. You’ll know when you’ve found the right person to help you take that first step towards your desired future state.
I’m passionate about moving clients forward so they can continue to learn and grow in their roles, and build out their organizations in ways that would not have otherwise been imagined. I’m passionate about providing services/products that result in meaningful change, elevated strategy, and strong alignment throughout a team.
I can converse in American Sign Language as a result of having studied the language and culture through Red River College’s Deaf Studies Program.

Director of Strategic Initiatives & Coach
Hometown: Winnipeg, Manitoba
I’ve always had a passion for blending business and education. To that end, I hold two separate undergraduate degrees from the University of Manitoba, including a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Education. More recently, I’ve completed continuing executive education at Queen’s University in the areas of Strategy and Information Technology. Throughout my career, I’ve served in executive roles for Loewen and Steinbach Credit Union.
In my current role with inVision Edge, I work with clients on innovation capability development, along with high-impact innovation and strategy projects. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband Kevin and our two children, in addition to reading, gardening, and playing the piano.
Pay special attention to the first critical innovation step: precisely define what problem(s) you need to solve with innovation, including what is both in and out of scope. Taking some extra time to do this well will reduce risk and improve results.
I love that we get to help develop the strategy/innovation skills of people in diverse organizations and industries. Enabling others to take charge of strategy and innovation for themselves, rather than being dependant on outsiders, is fun!
I have had the opportunity to be a mascot at several different events. When you are dressed up in one of those goofy costumes, you can really be a ham because no one knows it’s you…
Teah Lytwyn
Marketing Specialist
Hometown: Tyndall, Manitoba
My journey into marketing started with a passion for writing and telling stories, leading me to take the Creative Communications program at Red River College. From there, my career started at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops Canada where I worked on both the Marketing and E-commerce teams.
These days, I’m all about creating content and bringing the inVision marketing efforts to life. Outside of work, you’ll often find me puttering around in the garden or hanging out with my husband and our cat and dog.
Use tech whenever you can to save yourself time. ChatGPT is an excellent tool to get you started on a project and spark new ideas. Just remember to add a human touch before calling it complete!
I’m obsessed with communication—there’s something thrilling about helping inVision nail the right messaging. I also believe that clear, compelling communication can open doors and create meaningful connections, and I’m all in when it comes to making that happen!
I believe Canada Geese are not mean, just misunderstood.
Wendy Ferris
Partner
Hometown: Winkler, Manitoba
I co-founded inVision Edge in 2012, and from day one we’ve built our firm on the belief that with the right tools, systems, and processes any organization can do great things. That belief still drives us forward today.
In my current role as Partner, I work with clients in the areas of Strategy and Innovation to help them break through the challenges they’re facing and achieve real results. In this role, I draw upon my experience in several executive positions within the Manufacturing and Financial Services industries, guiding our clients to the best possible outcomes.
Don’t get paralyzed with indecision. Paralysis by analysis and the fear of failure are real threats to success and progress. Instead, just get started and do something…anything…to create momentum and change. Don’t fear failure, embrace it as an opportunity to learn and evolve! And then celebrate the successes along the way.
I am committed to our mission to help leaders, companies, and teams do great things. I love when our work helps solve a real problem for an organization and energizes them towards success. The ultimate reward is when I hear about our work’s tangible impact, especially when it restores people’s confidence and enjoyment in their work.
I love to dance like nobody’s watching. What I lack in dance moves I make up for in enthusiasm and spirit!
John Ferris
Chief Executive Officer
Hometown: Saint John, New Brunswick
I grew up in New Brunswick but have called Winnipeg home since completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg. Since then, I have completed further executive education at the University of Manitoba and Queen’s University and have served in executive roles across marketing, sales, and human resources departments within the manufacturing and transportation industries.
I co-founded inVision Edge in 2012 with a vision to help companies do great things. inVision Edge is built on the belief that if an organization is committed to growth and has a willingness to change, any company is capable of greatness. In my current role as CEO, I lead the team at inVision towards providing 5-star advisory and coaching services to our clients.
I love inspiring others to do great things. It’s hard to fully define “greatness,” but you know it when you see it. It’s a privilege to be there when someone has a deep realization that they’ve got the tools and capabilities they need to go beyond what they thought was possible and make a difference in this world. Those moments are what drive me.
I’m a musician at heart and played guitar in a band for years. My choice of hairstyle at the time may be classified as “questionable,” but my passion for music has never been in doubt.
